Mardi Gras Shots Recipe - Blue Chair Bay®

Mardi Gras Shots

  • 1 1/4 cup Blue Chair Bay® Vanilla Rum
  • 1 3/4 cup lemonade
  • 4 envelopes plain gelatin
  • purple, yellow, and green food coloring
  • vanilla frosting, for rimming
  • whipped cream, for garnish
  • purple, yellow, and green sugar sprinkles, for garnish

  1. Dip the rim of each shot glass into vanilla frosting and then into assorted color sprinkles.
  2. Pour lemonade and gelatin into a small saucepan. Heat on low, stirring occasionally, until gelatin is dissolved (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and add Vanilla Rum. Stir.
  4. Divide mixture between 3 separate bowls. Use liquid food coloring for each of them.
  5. Fill each shot glass 1/3 full with purple gelatin mixture. Refrigerate until set.
  6. Remove glasses from fridge and add yellow gelatin mixture. Fill 1/3. Refrigerate until set.
  7. Remove glasses from fridge and add green gelatin mixture. Fill 1/3. Refrigerate overnight.
  8. Garnish with whipped cream and sugar sprinkles. Serve with a spoon.
